The day had come… they had been warned… they hadn’t listened and now it was happening…

The moon was shrinking at an alarming rate.

I gazed in horror. Suddenly it was gone.

The whole country fell under complete darkness, not a speck nor glimmer of light was in sight.

I scrambled around to find my bag. I grabbed the long strap. I ran my finger all around to find the zip… got it. I stuck my hand into my backpack. I grabbed out my torch and shone it all around –  there’s nothing.

Where is everyone and what will happen next?

  1. Wow Maddy what a wonderful 100WC. You have managed to evoke a real sense of dread and urgency through your writing. I wonder where everyone has gone?

  2. Great imaginative use of the prompt this week Maddy. You have punctuated well which makes it easy to read. Keep up the great writing.
