Connor P – 100 Word Challenge…it relates to our read-aloud book this term – After by Morris Gleitzman.
In 1944 in the war-torn capital city of Poland, war rages on as usual. Cities crumpling from bombs and bullets, people dead of bullet wounds, but that’s still not enough. Cold and hungry, I head to the big city, or what’s remaining of it, to get some well deserved food. I heard them before I saw them, Nazi war planes, Stukas, dropping bombs.
Then, BOOM!
Another city demolished, another thousand people killed and the most important thing, my food has been destroyed!
All in a day’s work in the life of Nazis in the dark times of World War Two.
To Connor,
I love the way that you have related your writing to your shared book – reading and writing should be linked and my class do this sometimes too.
Nice work paragraphing of your writing too.
Keep up the great writing.
