“I refuse,” I say with a strong, sturdy voice.

“You have no choice, I am your mother I know what is best for you, anyway it is not your decision to make.”

“Yes but it is my future.”

“Stop! You are getting married to him next week and that is final!” Mum says angrily.

“But mum just listen, I am only 12 and he is 40, this is wrong …just because it is doesn’t mean it should be,” I say pleadingly.

“Ok fine, you don’t have to marry him. You’re too young, you can marry when you’re 13.”

“Thank you.”
