Deacon’s 100WC is about deer hunting.
EXITING UPDATE! DEACON HAS BEEN GIFTED A TERRY CULKIN CARTOON FOR THIS PIECE.
BANG!
The sound of my rifle echoes through the mountains. I see where my bullet ripped into the flesh of my target. I hear the noise, victims fall, I grin.
I look at my cousin. We start trekking to find the stag. We come across a fast flowing river, and attempting to cross the river – we are not successful. We start to lumber downstream, luckily we find a slow moving stream.
We cross the stream, then we jaunt back upstream to find the stag… “but where did it go” she yelled.
I fear we will never find that stag again.
Very descriptive writing, Deacon! The way that you have used the present tense to write your story really helps to bring it alive for the reader. Excellent use of vocabulary too!
Well done!
