BAD TEMPERED TEACHER! THANKS OLIVIA!
“Smack!” the shiny, crimson ruler slaps my arm, leaving an agonising red mark on my arm. I cover the mark with my other hand and stare blankly at my despicable teacher, Miss Martin. She gives me a nasty glare and her nose flares.
“GO BACK TO YOUR SEAT,” Miss Martin roars at me. I continue to stare.
“NOWWWW!” she screams, startling me. I immediately scamper to my desk and sit.
“Alright, now children —–”
“RING RING!”
Instantly all of the children rush outside to the playground.
“NOT YOU!” she points a stern finger at me and reaches for her red ruler.
Gosh I wonder what you had done to warrant such a punishment! I’m so glad we have banned corporal punishment in UK schools! Good use of direct speech and some nice word choices. Keep writing!
Thank you so much Miss Mitchell. I really enjoyed writing this 100 WC. Thank goodness they’ve banned corporal punishment in UK schools! Once again thank you for commenting on this blog. 😊
Olivia,
Your inspiration from the word RED is painfully good. The characters are so alive because of your word choices. The teacher is NOT one we’d be hiring in our district schools. I hope they are not in yours either.
Keep writing.

Thank you so much Mrs G! At first I wasn’t so sure about the red ruler idea but it turned out better than I expected. It was very fun to write this 100 WC. I wouldn’t be hiring a teacher like this in any schools either.
Many thanks, Olivia 😊
