Red, green, silver, and gold. They were the only colours you could see around the house at this time of the year.

The Christmas tree was shining brightly in the sun like a diamond, and the sound of joyful Christmas Carols could be heard right down the street.

“Fa la la-la, la, la, la, laa.” Everyone was singing merrily around the table, while I was sitting on a bumpy, rustic chair, eagerly waiting to eat my lunch. Salty, crunchy pork crackling melted like butter in my mouth.

The smell of pine needles filled my nostrils, and…  ACHOO! I hate hayfever.
