A dark, purple painted sky loomed above me as I stumbled into the jungle. I saw splotches of blood splattered across the trees, just as I had the night before.

The deeper and deeper into the jungle I went, the thicker the mess of blood got.

I kept going until I found a shadowy clearing. That’s when it hit me – horrible, heavy grief plunged into my heart like a shooting arrow.

An elephant lay across the harsh ground. Gory, gaping wounds told me the animal was dead.

Quiet violin music played along with my heartbeat, I am far from happy.
