ALEX’S FAMILY HAD A BIT OF A DISCUSSION!
‘Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm’ goes the sound of the PHEV as we are driving to Hanmer Springs, then I see a duck, so I watch for a while until it starts flying, and I didn’t realise they could fly.
So I asked Dad “Can ducks fly?” mum replied saying, “Yes, ducks can fly, some of the ducks will even fly all the way from the North Island just to nest in the South Island”
“Oh, can unicorns and squirrels fly?” my sister asked.
“Unicorns, they are not even real,” yelled my brother and I in unison.
Then silence reigned in the car.
Hey there,
I love how you used onomatopoeia in your prompt and when you wrote “The silence reigned in the car.” That was AWESOME. You did a really great job! I can’t wait to read more!

Dear Alex,
I love your story and I especially love the ending when your sister asked is unicorns and squirrels can fly. Although some squirrels look like they can fly, they are actually gliding, so I think that’s why your sister asked that question. Great work! I liked the description.
Sincerely,

Hey Alex! I liked the way you made your story sound realistic and a little funny. Do you actually think unicorns are fake? I don’t.
This is a really funny story!I like the part where the little sister asked if unicorns and squirrels could fly!
Keep up the good work!

Hi Your writing is brilliant and it made me laugh.
Your story structure is very good – keep up the good work. : )
Hi, Alex! I really like your story. I really liked the humor you added! One thing I would do differently is to add a period at the end of the word ‘Springs’, but otherwise, AWESOME JOB! Don’t forget to write back, okay? https://kidblog.org/class/rays-am-1920-rockstars/posts/ascemx9ti1dldutrwgzzqtqwp
