All eight of its devilish eyes stared at me with menace, it had eight legs, hairy, thin and spazzing with hatred.

I looked it in the eye(s), bad idea, I didn’t realise they could fly.

It lurched forwards and with a thin string of silk, swung violently in my direction.

I ducked, before screaming, “You foul, insolent, little insect!”

Now I had really done it, the spider sped across to the wall behind me and tried a faithful attack.

But I was ready, I grabbed my weapons, a fly swat and bug spray.

It stood no chance now.

SPLAT!
