OLIVIA’S ON HOLIDAY BUT STILL WRITING!
This week Olivia used both of the prompts to create her 100 word piece.
Prompt 1 & 2 – ‘…suddenly they froze with nothing to say…’
AND Blue, Sad, Giraffes, Snowflakes, Coco.
My parents were blabbing away about something, as everyone ate breakfast and my sister was stirring her cereal, while I watched a piece of coco bob around.
Suddenly the doorbell rang and dad paced towards the door in his electro blue bathrobe. He poked around the corner of the door and said “Hel—” he stopped and the door swung open as a couple of giraffes stepped inside.
They must have seen our shocked and sad faces because suddenly they froze with nothing to say. I gazed at their unique pattern which was hundreds of pure white snowflakes.
Wow, how strange!

Olivia,
I think it is amazingly creative how you were able to compose a piece that incorporates the ‘signs of the times’—being home, as well as elements of BOTH prompts offered. Well done. And, I would like to see a giraffe with snowflake patterns. That would be a sight to behold.
Keep writing.

Thank you Mrs. G.
I am very happy that they offered two prompts and using them together was a bit of a challenge.
I had lots of fun writing this one and seeing a giraffe with snowflake pattern would be an absolutely amazing experience!

Hi Olivia,
I love how you incorporated two of the prompts into your passage! It’s very creative and it made me laugh when the giraffes walked in the door. I love how detailed you were, even with something as small as you dad’s bathrobe.
Keep up the good work!
