It was a Monday evening. I had collected my friends, Saoirse and Sophia, and we were headed to the school disco. The theme was sports. I was dressed as a netball player and my friends were a part of our  team.

When we got to the disco, a speaker announced  there was going to be a race. The winner would get a scholarship to any college!

The sign up sheet was on the table in front of me. I put my name on it, then two minutes later a horn went off, and thats when I knew I should run.
