POLAR BEAR WITH FLOATIES MAISY?
Smooth silky water surrounds me as I float as still as a statue on a thick clump of ice. The ice slowly starts to disintegrate and melt between my white fluffy paws. Thinner and thinner it gets, the more I start to panic.
“Where am I going to go?” I stammer.
I need to think with mighty speed, I could just swim for it, but I don’t have my floaties, darn! Maybe I need to scream at the top of my lungs, oh how would that help. I am isolated and nobody can hear me.
A boat is my saviour.
MAISY = YEAR 8
G’day Maisy!
We loved reading the start of your 100WC. It built tension really well. Your opening sentence used lots of imagery and the simile is purposeful.
Well done!
