LACHLAN’S 100 WORD CHALLENGE
The piece of ice slowly drifted away from the area the polar bear identified as home.
He comprehended the fact he might not see his family again, reminded himself he was about to go on a journey of a lifetime around the world to places he had never observed. He would make countless memories and would be able to tell the tale of his travels as soon as he was back home.
For now, he had to wait to see the places ocean currents would take him and as the sun graciously sank behind the horizon, he slowly dozed off.
LACHLAN – YEAR 8
Hello Lachlan, I think I would like to go on the adventure that the bear is about to go on, but I might get a bit too cold. You were able to make it sound very inviting through your writing and very real. I particularly like, “the places ocean currents would take him”.You have used some great words in your writing. Words like, “identified”, “comprehended”, and “graciously” all work very well.
Hi , your story , while it can be exciting , on the other hand reminds us that we are all alone in life and passing the novel and getting to know people and places is an opportunity to better understand why life !!!
