IZAAC AND THE PENCILS!
THE PHRASE FOR THIS WEEK’S PROMPT – … the orange one spoke first …
My hand was shaking for the math test but not a normal small shake. It was going absolutely ballistic.
‘STOP THAT NOW!’ Mr L roared from across the room.
I lost my grip on
the pencil in frustration as it whizzed across the room. A minute later all the pencils in the room were flying!
Suddenly, every one of them dropped on my table. Students surrounded me. Then, the orange one spoke first, saying: ‘We are evil pencils! We stand for dead and snapped soldiers’.
‘’BANG!’’ Those pencils, formed a line, they were heading towards me…
‘Oh no!’ I whisper.
IZAAC – YEAR 7
Hi Izaac!
My name is Angelina, I’m in 8th grade, and from Virgina, USA. This is an amazing blog post! I love all of the descriptive words you use, and I really enjoyed the idea of colored pencils getting revenge for their fallen comrades. Great job!

Kia ora Izaac, it’s the one and only Dave here. I loved your story and the way you incorporated the prompt into it. The way you used your imagination is awesome and I wasn’t expecting the twist with the coloured pencils turning into soldiers. You need to tell me how you come up with these ideas. On second thought, nevermind. Anyways, I think you did a marvellous job and this was a good read.
