JUST FIVE WORDS, TO PROMPT A STORY. GO HOLLY!
CALENDAR ….STICKY … WHITE … MINUSCULE … WASHING
1st of November said the calendar.
I took a deep breath – today was the day.
My nerves are high and my pulse skyrocketing, feeling like my head is going to explode. Grab my clothes from the washing line and head towards Skydive Abel Tasman, Motueka.
Got geared up and climbed onto the white plane. 9000ft is our destination.
I feel sick, I am sticky with sweat. I look out the window to ease my nerves.
Everything looks so minuscule as I realize that the time has come. The door swings open and I get into position… 3…2…1… Yahoo!!!!
Holly – Year 8
Hello Holly,
I know I have read another of your well written stories a few weeks back so I expected your story to be interesting. It was. You have used all five prompt words effectively while sharing the apprehension felt before a skydive followed by exhilaration as you jump. Well done.
