THE WAY THINGS USED TO BE.
It’s the year 2050, skies are grey, the toxins are rife, and the oceans which were lively – now dead.
Here we are 29 years into the future, used to be wearing face masks, now wearing gas masks. Climate change is on a level footing with us.
Why didn’t we change?
I can remember looking out the windows and seeing birds soaring through glistening, clear blue skies.
Marvellous times spent at the coast watching all sorts of sea life swimming to their heart’s content, but now those both feel like futile dreams.
It’s all gone, Can we ever get it back?
HOLLY = YEAR 8
Kia ora Holly. A powerful message you’re sending here! Well done, I really enjoyed your 100 Word Challenge. You’ve used strong words, e.g. ‘soaring’ and ‘glistening’ which add detail that make your story even more interesting to read. Keep up the wonderful writing Holly!
